Communities

We wish to contribute positively to the communities in which we operate by actively engaging in our communities through volunteering and charitable giving.

Encouraging volunteering

We actively promote our employees' engagement in volunteer work to bolster the communities where we are located. Each team member is entitled to a day of paid leave dedicated to participating in charitable endeavors. Notable initiatives have included the refurbishment of a community hub in Leeds, distribution of food packages to the homeless in London, and beach clean-up operations in Belfast. These activities not only aid local communities, but also foster a spirit of teamwork.

Charitable giving

To demonstrate our commitment to supporting charities, we have a matched fundraising policy. We support charities nationally. We also undertake fundraising activities for charities in the local
communities where we operate.

Last year, colleagues raised funds for 30 different charities including the Roxburghe House Day Care Centre, Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association, Maddy’s Mark and many more.

We are constantly impressed by the fundraising exploits and creativity of our colleagues. We will always support their efforts to help our communities and those within them, just as we will always look forward to hearing the future fundraising plans of our passionate employees.

Case study: Loughshore beach clean up (Northern Ireland)

In our Belfast office, our colleague’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship is evident in their actions to carry out a beach clean in Loughshore and to intercept waste before it reached the oceans.

Their aim was to not only enhance the coastal environment, but also foster community engagement and awareness, and of course help with a cleaner environment for future generations.

Case Study: Macmillan Cancer Support

In September of last year, our colleagues demonstrated their dedication to Macmillan Cancer Support by engaging in a variety of fundraising activities. From delicious bake sales to exciting raffles and invigorating charity walks, their efforts culminated in a remarkable sum of over £5,000. The company's support went beyond encouragement, as it generously matched the amount collected, amplifying the total donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. These efforts not only foster a culture of giving and community involvement within the company, but also contribute to the welfare of the wider community.
