FRC confirms XPS Pensions Group continues to meet standards of the UK Stewardship Code

Having successfully applied to the new UK Stewardship Code at the first time of asking in 2021, The FRC has announced that XPS Pensions Group has again been successful with its 2022 application.
The FRC noted that XPS Pensions Group continues to meet the expected standard of reporting and remains a signatory to the Code. The UK Stewardship Code places significant weight on outcomes and assesses stewardship policies in practice. XPS’ submission highlighted significant activity that took place including:
• Rating 199 investment funds rated on ESG and feedback provided to managers
• Identifying and monitoring 11 new sustainable funds to help our clients implement their investment strategies in a sustainable way
• Issuing eight sustainability-based thought leadership briefings keeping for clients and wider stakeholders
• Running three webinars to drive the agenda on sustainability for pension schemes
• Launching a firm level commitment to net carbon neutrality Read more here.

The announcement was in respect of XPS Pension Group’s recent submission, submitted in April 2022, covering the reporting year up to 31 December 2021.
